About Life in the UK Exam Prep

Not a government website or app. We are an independent company. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the UK Government, the Home Office or GOV.UK, and we do not sell or book the Life in the UK test. Official information and booking: gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test.

Who we are

Life in the UK Exam Prep and the Citizenship Prep app are made by Right Stack Ltd, a software company based in London. The app is on the App Store as “Life in the UK - Latest” and on Google Play as “UK Citizenship Test Translated”.

What we do

We help people prepare for the Life in the UK test – especially people who are more comfortable reading in a language other than English. Our app has practice questions, mock tests and the complete study handbook, with translations into 13 languages. This website has free guides and practice questions.

Where our information comes from

• Facts about the test – the fee, format, pass mark, booking and exemptions – come from the Life in the UK Test pages on GOV.UK. Each guide links to the pages it uses and shows when it was last updated.
• Handbook content in the app is based on “Life in the United Kingdom: A Guide for New Residents – 3rd Edition” (© Crown copyright), reproduced under the Open Parliament Licence for study purposes. The official handbook is sold through the official shop linked from GOV.UK.
• Practice questions are written by us from the handbook. They are not official test questions.
• Translations are machine translations that we check and correct. They help you understand the material; the official handbook and the test are in English.
